Afiwa is a composition by Afi Sika Kouzeawu and myself. During one summer I went to France with a bassist friend. Togheter we decided to stop in some cities and improvise some grooves in the streets. At a certain point she startet to play a very interesting groove on the bass, without knowing what it was. I recorded the bass line and when i went home I composed the rest.
The musicians of this album gave it an excellent contribution into creating a flowing groove. The 7 beats reggae taste groove is swinging in a crazy way.
